Journey Through the Chakras - A Sound Healing Experience with Sanskrit Mantra and Crystal Bowls
Spring cleaning for your subtle body, through sound. This workshop is for you if:
- You're interested in the power of sound
- Are exploring chakras, subtle energy, and forms of meditation
- Are teaching or practicing yoga and embodiment
- Are ready to dive deeper or differently into your process
Sri guides us through the chakras using specific seed sounds, bija mantras and through inquiry into the energetic flows of each, inviting balance to any place of blockage, disconnect or stagnation.
This workshop includes: Introduction to how sound healing works in the human energy system; movement and meditation techniques to invite balance; simple mantra meditations that you can access for each chakra and a full chakra meditation practice; a 20 minute sound bath and savasana with crystals bowls attuned to each chakra.
Sri is an ERYT 500 Yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and Sound Practitioner who has been studying Sanskrit, mantra and yogic philosophy for nearly a decade.
Sri Devi Melissa Urey
Sri Devi Melissa Urey is an E-RYT 500, Sanskrit mantra teacher and
meditation guide based in Portland Maine. In 2016 she took a deep dive
into the Vedic arts and has yet to come back up to the surface. Her
beautiful teachers include Aiyana Athenian and Krishna Perry at
ShivaShakti Yoga School, Sri Vidya Ramananthan (Samskrita Bharati),
Shantala Sriramaiah (Veda Studies) and Prem Sadasivananda from
whom she received her spiritual name Sri Devi in 2017. Upon returning
from India in 2020, she found her harmonium teacher Allison Dennis and
