$40.00 Seasons of Yin - Summer
In this 2-hour workshop with Jenn, you will learn all about the element of fire, its relationship to the summer season, and how to incorporate its properties into your yin yoga practice. We will share an in-depth philosophy discussion focused on the themes of community, connection, expansion, and action. After taking some time to journal and reflect, Jenn will guide you through a 40-minute fire-themed yin sequence and a 10-minute meditation.
Jennifer Graham-Famiglietti
Jenn discovered the practice of yoga early in life and was quickly drawn in by the sense of physical balance and open spiritual exploration she experienced. Unlike other modes of movement, yoga provided a way to explore the possibilities of her physical ability without competition or numerical goal-setting. It became a form of creative expression that was about the journey rather than the product. As a teacher, she strives to offer a conscious approach that honors yoga’s ancient roots while making the practice welcoming to all students.
In her classes, you will be guided through mindful sequences that offer yogis of all levels a chance to become present, connect with their bodies, and observe their minds. Students are encouraged to move intuitively, listening to their own internal cues first and foremost. She also recognizes the yoga studio as an important space for building community, and hopes to foster a sense of connection and mutual responsibility that can be carried off the mat and into daily life.
Jenn considers yoga to be one part of a well-rounded, healthy, and happy lifestyle. Off the mat, you can find her working in the art world, spending time in her garden, cooking, reading, and taking care of her animals.
