The Six Perfections – A Path to a Joyful Life
The term Paramita is often interpreted as "perfection" or "that which leads to the other shore." It refers to the qualities or practices that enable a practitioner to transcend worldly limitations and reach enlightenment. In Buddhist philosophy, the Paramitas are viewed as the essential virtues cultivated by bodhisattvas to liberate themselves and others.
Join us for a transformative six-week journey into the heart of Buddhist wisdom as we explore the Six Perfections (Paramitas). Each week, we will dive into one of these timeless virtues—Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Effort, Meditation, and Wisdom—through short lectures and selected readings, a short meditation practice, and interactive discussions.
Together, we will reflect on how these perfections can be applied to our daily lives to cultivate inner peace, resilience, and joy. Whether you’re new to these teachings or looking to deepen your understanding, this series offers practical tools and inspiration to live with greater compassion, equanimity, and purpose.
No prior experience in meditation or philosophy is required—just an open heart and a willingness to explore.
$60 covers six sessions - classes will be recorded and live streamed should you be unable to attend in person
