Andrew was introduced to meditation and yoga while combing the library's stacks for answers to life's big questions! He found Buddhism and other beautiful teachers and teachings, which led to taking meditation retreats at a land center in Vermont and later volunteering and living within the Kripalu Center and Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. He loved living and practicing in these communities and is now working on a vision for creating his own community of family, friends, and practitioners in the Biddeford/Saco area.
Andrew's interest in yoga and mindfulness-based living led him to take a deeper dive by taking a 200-hour teaching course in India. He has since enjoyed sharing his love of this philosophy through teaching yoga, always with a big focus on breath-centered movement and present moment awareness. His classes have frequent reminders of our simultaneously grounded and expansive nature as Be-ing's called humans. He is grateful daily, to have been guided to this age-old path of practice and of the opportunity to share it with others.
